Costi Seafood's has established themselves as a leader in good food
handling. In 1999 the company undertook a Quality Assurance ISO9001-2000
and HACCP programme, in an effort to ensure that they continue to offer
superior quality seafood to their customers.
The
HACCP and ISO9001-2000 system was developed over a period of 12 months,
De Costi Seafoods was officially certified as a quality endorsed company.
SAI GLOBAL ASSURANCE SERVICE Lic No. HAC00073. As part of the comprehensive
training for the franchisees, they will receive basic theory and operational
training; special training for key members provides the necessary supervision.
De
Costi Seafoods complies with all current food service regulations, including
the Occupational Health and Safety Act. AQIS accreditation for all our
export customers.

De Costi Seafood's philosophy is that successful businesses are built
on a foundation of well trained operational and management staff.
A detailed and comprehensive training program has been developed, covering
employee recruitment, sales techniques, required product knowledge,
seafood handling, importance of temperature controls, which lies parallel
to seafood storage, a thorough look at customer service, the ordering
system, display lay-out and presentation and most importantly, the finer
points of maintaining good customer relations that are essential in
securing continual growth of new business.
