Creamy prawn and tomato pasta

Serves:  4 people

Prep time:  5 minutes 

Cook time:  20 minutes 

Cook method:  pan fry



2 x De Costi Seafood Raw Prawn Meat 280g 

1 tbsp olive oil

1 brown onion, diced

1 clove garlic, minced

1 tin (400g) crushed tomatoes

1/3 cup cream

1/3 cup shredded basil

320g fusilli pasta, cooked according to packet instructions, ½ cup pasta water reserved

Parmesan Cheese, grated, to serve



  1. Heat olive oil in a frypan over medium to high heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté for 3-5 minutes until soft and translucent. Add raw prawn meat and pan fry until prawns are cooked through.
  2. Pour in crushed tomatoes and cream and stir to combine. Turn the heat to low and allow to simmer for 10-15 minutes until the sauce has reduced slightly and thickened.
  3. Add cooked pasta, reserved pasta water and shredded basil. Stir well to coat the pasta in the sauce.
  4. To serve, sprinkle with grated Parmesan Cheese
