Crumbed Whiting Bao Buns
Serves: 5 people (as a starter) | Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 10 minutes | Cook method: air fry
1 packet De Costi crumbed whiting fillets
10 frozen bao buns
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
1 cup coleslaw mix
- Place whiting fillets in air fryer tray – cook for 10 minutes at 200ºC until fillets are crunchy and golden
- Meanwhile, arrange frozen bao buns in a bamboo steamer basket lined with baking paper. Place over a boiling pot of water and steam for 8 minutes until soft. Remove from heat.
- Whisk together mayonnaise and sweet chilli sauce.
- To assemble, smear sweet chilli mayonnaise on to the inside of a bao bun. Fill with one crumbed whiting fillet and some coleslaw. Spear with a small bamboo skewer to keep slider together. Repeat with remaining buns. Serve immediately.
